Il était nécessaire de réévaluer le travail des pionnières qui ont ouvert la voie aux formidables musiciennes que l'on compte parmi nous aujourd'hui. Dans la lignée du coffret dédié à Mary Lou Williams, Jean-Paul Ricard et Jean Buzelin mettent en lumière de formidables musiciennes, dans une anthologie complète et pleine de trésors rares.
